BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping called national security risks facing China "dangerous storms," an assessment made in light of tensions brewing with the U.S.

His remarks came during a National Security Commission meeting, according to a report Wednesday by the People's Daily, the official newspaper of the Communist Party.
