SINGAPORE -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday appealed for Asian leaders' participation in an upcoming peace conference in Switzerland, seeking to bolster international support for ending Russia's invasion.

"I would really want the leader of Singapore to support Ukraine with his personal participation in the peace summit," Zelenskyy said on the final day of the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, the region's largest defense forum, attended by delegates from at least 45 countries, including the U.S. and China as well as Southeast Asian and European states.
