WASHINGTON -- World Bank President Jim Yong Kim will resign more than three years before his second term ends in 2022, an abrupt move that can be tied to a standoff with the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The World Bank said Monday that Kim will step down on Feb. 1, with Kristalina Georgieva, the bank's second-in-command, taking over as interim president.
