PHNOM PENH -- Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Cambodia this month as part of a trip to Southeast Asia, according to three sources, for a visit that will cast a light on China's response to the U.S. government's massive cuts to its aid program, as well as new and pending promises from Beijing.

In a flurry of bilateral activity last month, China's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong and Minister of Water Resources Li Guoying visited Phnom Penh for high-level meetings with the Cambodian government.
