TOKYO -- Chinese President Xi Jinping told the Group of 20 summit that artificial intelligence should not be "a game of the rich countries and the wealthy," and stressed a need to improve digital governance for inclusive economic globalization.
Addressing the summit in Rio de Janeiro on Monday, the Chinese president amplified the interests of the so-called Global South, a catch-all for developing economies, urging reforms of international institutions along with a consensus on how to promote equality in terms of finance, trade, digital technology and the environment.
