BENGALURU -- U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Thursday called for "meaningful" solutions to the debt woes of countries such as Sri Lanka, urging key creditor China to participate, ahead of a key Group of 20 meeting in Bengaluru.

Yellen was speaking to reporters in the southern Indian city before a two-day G-20 meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors kicks off on Friday.
