TOKYO -- The Japanese government aims to release treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the ocean this summer. The construction of the relevant facilities has been completed, and Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority is expected to soon approve their use.
On Tuesday, Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, will meet with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
