Ivanka Trump calls for 'modernizing workplace' to empower women

In Tokyo speech, urges new tech and policies in changing working styles

TOKYO -- Modernizing the workplace to allow more flexible working styles is the key to women's empowerment as well as to economic growth, Ivanka Trump said Friday morning in her speech at a Tokyo conference.

The daughter and adviser to the U.S. president, who also owns her own fashion brand, was in Tokyo ahead of her father's visit on Sunday.
