TOKYO -- The approval rating of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's cabinet rose 1 percentage point to 26% in the latest Nikkei-TV Tokyo survey, remaining near record lows amid lingering concerns over a fundraising scandal in his Liberal Democratic Party.
The disapproval rating declined 1 point to 66% in the new poll, conducted Friday through Sunday.
