SEOUL -- South Korea adopted a warmer approach toward Japan in its new National Security Strategy issued Wednesday, as President Yoon Suk Yeol's administration vows to strengthen cooperation with Tokyo based on shared universal values.
The new strategy, the first released since Yoon took office in 2022, pivots from Seoul's previous hard-line stance on historical and geopolitical issues between the two nations.
