Pandemic response leads voter priorities for 1st time in 3 months

TOKYO -- The approval rating of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's cabinet fell 6 percentage points from December to 59% in the latest Nikkei-TV Tokyo poll, the first drop since he took office this past October.

Approval of the government's pandemic response also declined. The cabinet's disapproval rating rose 4 points to 30%.
