TOKYO --- Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party has been hit with allegations over money from fundraising events, leading Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to decide to sack Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno.
Kishida may force out other ministers now that the scandal has spread in the faction once led by the late Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The widening ripples are dealing a serious blow to the current government.
