TOKYO -- The Japanese government has not identified any leaks of confidential security-related information, an official told reporters on Tuesday, declining to comment further on a report that Chinese military hackers had accessed Japanese defense secrets.

Speaking at a regular news conference in Tokyo, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said the government was "aware of the news report" but "will refrain from providing detailed information due to the nature of the matter."
