SRINAGAR, Kashmir -- Targeted killings of minority Hindus in Indian-administered Kashmir have sent hundreds fleeing, calling to mind a similar exodus in the 1990s and sparking criticism of the Narendra Modi government's handling of tensions in the territory.
Last week, militants shot dead a Hindu teacher, Rajni Bala, while she was walking toward her school. Two days later, 25-year-old bank manager Vijay Kumar, originally from India's Rajasthan, was gunned down in his office by a masked assailant.
