SYDNEY -- Australians will go to the polls on May 18, with attention focused on whether the country will see its first change of government in six years.

The Australian Labor Party is maintaining a lead over the governing coalition of the Liberal and National parties in the run-up to the general election. But some analysts forecast that the race will be neck-and-neck as Labor's lead is narrowing.
