Mahathir predicts UMNO triumph in Malaysia's next election

KUALA LUMPUR -- Mahathir Mohamad, who led an opposition alliance to a historic victory in Malaysia's 2018 general election, sees little hope for a repeat in the next polls.

In an interview, the 97-year-old predicted that the ruling United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) will keep its grip on power in a vote widely expected to be held before the end of the year.
