BANGKOK -- The first group of 17 Thais released from Hamas captivity in Gaza arrived in Bangkok on Thursday, as their government vowed to continue diplomatic efforts to free those still being held hostage.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin spoke via teleconferencing to the group, who had just landed at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. "I am delighted that all of you returned home safely," he told them. "I and the government vow to work hard in order to bring the other Thais still held there home."
