HONG KONG/TOKYO -- The Israel-Iran war has unleashed shock waves worldwide, and has raised several pressing questions for China on energy security, its own influence in the Middle East and the new realities of drone warfare.
On Tuesday, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said officials were working to "quickly organize evacuations" from Iran and Israel. Earlier, Trump posted that "Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!" while China urged its citizens to leave Israel via land crossings "as soon as possible."
