ULAANBAATAR -- Mongolia's embattled Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai was ousted on Tuesday after failing to secure enough votes in a parliamentary confidence motion.

While some view the outcome as a destabilizing blow that could hurt the economy, others see it as a necessary reckoning, a critical step toward restoring accountability and reinvigorating Mongolia's democracy.
