Myanmar's NLD aims to cut the cord between businesses, officialdom

YANGON -- Myanmar's economy is dominated by businesses that forged close ties to the old junta -- and China. This is especially true when it comes to infrastructure and natural resource development. Now, however, a new government is coming in with a vow to enhance political and economic transparency.
