MANILA -- Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday defended his administration's war against illegal drugs -- which resulted in the deaths of thousands of Filipinos -- and his role as the controversial policy's mastermind, as he attended a hearing at the country's Senate.
"Do not question my policies because I offer no apologies, no excuses," he said.
