Prayuth says Thailand parliament to be dissolved in 'early March'

Move would pave way for general election due by early May

BANGKOK -- Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said Tuesday he expects parliament to be dissolved early next month, paving the way for a general election due by early May.

"I have told the cabinet about the timeline to dissolve the house, which is expected to be in early March," Prayuth told the media after the weekly cabinet meeting.
