'Pro-wrestler' Trump has Asia Inc. feigning pain

Companies make stage-managed 'concessions' in hopes of favorable treatment

SINGAPORE -- Well before he embarked on a political career, Donald Trump had a brief stint in professional wrestling. In a 2007 match billed by World Wrestling Entertainment as the "Battle of the Billionaires," he was knocked down by the referee -- exactly as scripted.

Trump's performance not only proved that he is a talented actor, it also foreshadowed his approach to the presidency, especially when it comes to economic diplomacy.
