SINGAPORE -- In a departure from the usually staid world of Singaporean government, two rising political stars have increasingly been trying something fresh: posting clips on video-sharing app TikTok.

While their content may not be the most colorful on a platform famous for everything from viral dances to dubious pranks, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong have already racked up millions of views as the city-state starts to focus on who will be its first new leader in around two decades.
