SEOUL -- The South Korean legislature's second attempt to impeach disgraced President Yoon Suk Yeol on Saturday is gaining momentum as more ruling party lawmakers say they will vote for the motion.
The daily Dong-A Ilbo newspaper reported on Friday that one more lawmaker from Yoon's People Power Party (PPP), who asked not to be named, said he would vote for the impeachment. So far, seven legislators in the PPP have publicly said that they will support impeachment, joining 192 opposition party and independent lawmakers who voted for the motion last week.
