SEOUL -- South Korea's Constitutional Court on Tuesday concluded the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol over his short-lived declaration of martial law, but political polarization has only deepened in the country since the crisis began in December.

The court said it would announce a date for the ruling later after discussion by the eight justices. Experts say the verdict may come in early March, as the court has handed down its decision around two weeks after final arguments in past impeachment trials.
