SEOUL -- In a TV interview that aired Wednesday night, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol addressed a scandal involving his wife appearing to accept an expensive handbag from a pastor, amid growing political pressure ahead of legislative elections in April.

In the pre-recorded interview aired by major broadcaster KBS, Yoon said that the case involving first lady Kim Keon Hee and a luxury handbag was "unfortunate."
