TOKYO -- South Korea is seeking mutually supportive arrangements between government and companies that can boost its low fertility rate, an official said Friday.
Joo Hyung-hwan, vice chairman of South Korea's Presidential Committee on Aging Society and Population Policy, visited the Japanese trading house Itochu on Friday to study practices that can enable employees to balance work and child care.
