SEOUL -- South Korea will form a strategic command capable of deploying weapons from all three branches of its armed forces to enhance defensive and offensive capabilities against North Korea.

Wednesday's announcement by the Ministry of National Defense comes amid speculation that Pyongyang is preparing for a seventh nuclear weapons test.
