SEOUL -- South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday and high-profile departures from his party intensified his political woes a week after he suffered a vicious knife attack.

Lee appeared outside of Seoul National University Hospital, where he was greeted by cheering supporters. With a large bandage on his neck, Lee thanked the public for wishing him well while he was undergoing treatment.
