TAIPEI -- Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen's office has confirmed that she will visit the island's four allies in Central America in January amid intensifying tensions with China. She is expected to transit through the U.S. though it is unclear whether she will meet anyone close to President-elect Donald Trump.
