Tsai reshuffles leadership as ruling DPP struggles ahead of next year's election

TAIPEI -- Taiwan's new cabinet appointed by embattled President Tsai Ing-wen took office Tuesday with a call to fight inflation.

The cabinet, led by Premier Chen Chien-jen, attended a swearing-in ceremony in Taipei. Members of the previous cabinet stepped down en masse on Monday.
