BANGKOK -- Thailand's Constitutional Court on Wednesday rejected a petition asking it to rule on the legitimacy of last month's parliamentary vote that blocked the renomination of Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat as a prime ministerial candidate.
The decision paves the way for the parliament to convene again for the next prime ministerial vote. House Speaker Wan Muhamad Noor Matha on Wednesday said the next round will be held on Aug. 22.
