BANGKOK -- Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has been granted bail after he was officially indicted by the attorney general on Tuesday for allegedly insulting the monarch.
The attorney general announced the charge after months of consideration. The 74-year-old Thaksin had asked for a postponement from May 29 to Tuesday because he was ill with COVID-19.
