TAIPEI -- Officials huddled in a government building in Taipei on Jan. 17 listened attentively as Audrey Tang laid out her vision of the future of politics.
"It doesn't matter whether your position is high or low, whether you are from the upper or lower class, or even whether you are near or distant [from the government]," she said, fittingly, via video conferencing. "With the arrival of the digital age, everyone can now participate in politics simultaneously."
