Trump adviser calls US-Japan alliance critical for Asian security

On Oct. 12, the Nikkei Asian Review interviewed former U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency director Michael Flynn, who was a top national security adviser to president-elect Donald Trump during the presidential campaign and is a candidate for a senior position in the Trump administration. Here is what Flynn said at that time. 

TOKYO -- A former head of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency who is now Donald Trump's foreign policy adviser on Wednesday said "the U.S.-Japan alliance is critical for the security of Asia."
