Tsai moots another meeting with China

Tsai Ing-wen, center, Taiwan's presidential frontrunner, indicated during a local TV interview on Thursday that under the right circumstances she would want to meet China's President Xi Jinping once she is elected.

TAIPEI -- Presidential frontrunner Tsai Ing-wen said on Thursday that another successful meeting between the leaders of China and Taiwan will bolster peace and bilateral relations -- confirming her wish to meet China's President Xi Jinping if elected.
