BANGKOK -- Support for Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has surged roughly a month after she took office, buoyed by her handling of policy initiatives and prompt responses to natural disasters.
Paetongtarn's popularity rating rose to 31% in an opinion poll published this week by Thailand's National Institute of Development Administration, up from 5% in mid-June.
