WASHINGTON -- Donald Trump remains the front-runner for the Republican nomination to enter the 2024 U.S. presidential race, but can he broaden his support?

Nikkei spoke with two longtime Republicans -- Adam Brandon, president of conservative advocacy group FreedomWorks, and Kip Kempton, former Republican chair of Graham County, Arizona -- about their views on the election and the party's direction.
