LONDON -- The Chinese state has committed crimes against humanity amounting to genocide of its Uyghur minority, with President Xi Jinping among those that bear "primary responsibility" for these acts, according to an unofficial court set up in the U.K. at the urging of activists.
The Uyghur Tribunal, which announced its verdict in London on Thursday, has no governmental or intergovernmental backing, and its judgment is not legally enforceable.
