LIMA, Peru -- Leaders of the U.S., China and other Asia-Pacific countries will gather in Peru for an economic summit this week against a backdrop of a possible global trade war under Donald Trump.

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders' summit will be U.S. President Joe Biden's last. His trip will be overshadowed by concerns over his successor, Trump, who will return to the Oval Office in January after defeating Biden's vice president, Kamala Harris, in the Nov. 5 election.
