WASHINGTON -- Former U.S. President Donald Trump easily won the South Carolina Republican primary on Saturday, with all major U.S. networks calling his victory the moment voting had closed.

Trump's fifth win in the primary cycle, following Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and the U.S. Virgin Islands, puts him on track to his third consecutive presidential nomination and a rematch with President Joe Biden in the Nov. 5 election.
