CHICAGO -- The Democratic Party's 2024 policy platform mentions Europe at the top of its chapter on foreign affairs, highlighting the success of the U.S. in rallying allies against Russia, before the chapter outlines the party's Indo-Pacific agenda.
The 90-plus-page document's final chapter, "Strengthening American Leadership Worldwide," has Europe as its first section heading. This is followed by the Indo-Pacific, China, the Middle East and North Africa, the Western Hemisphere, and Africa. The 2020 platform put such regions in alphabetical order: Africa, the Americas, the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
