PALO ALTO, California -- Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been enjoying a surge of support in Silicon Valley, once seen as a bastion of liberal ideology.
The Republican presidential candidate has gained endorsements and promises of financial support from some of the biggest heavyweights in tech -- including Elon Musk and the founders of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. His vice presidential running mate, JD Vance, came to Palo Alto for a sold-out event on Monday, with tickets ranging from $3,300 to $50,000.
