SEOUL -- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said Monday that Seoul will step up information-sharing with NATO in response to North Korea sending soldiers to Ukraine to fight alongside Russian forces and gain combat experience.

The deployment confirms that the security of the Indo-Pacific region and the Atlantic region are inextricably linked, Yoon told NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte on a call Monday, according to a readout from Yoon's office.
