KYIV (Kyodo) -- The foreign ministers of Japan and Ukraine on Saturday agreed to launch a high-level security policy dialogue involving senior foreign and defense officials amid Russia's prolonged war against Ukraine, which now involves North Korean troops.
Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, who made an unannounced visit to Kyiv Saturday, told reporters after meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha, that the new framework is intended to boost bilateral information sharing and defense coordination.
