Japan's IHI, Kubota and others weigh rebuilding efforts in Ukraine

10 companies send representatives to Kyiv with eye on infrastructure projects

TOKYO -- Ten Japanese companies including IHI, Komaihaltec and Kubota are thinking about joining reconstruction efforts from the war in Ukraine, tapping their expertise in fields like railways and bridges, power grids, and agriculture.

State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kazuchika Iwata and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji were in Kyiv on Monday with representatives from the 10 companies. The delegation met with Ukrainian officials including Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
