TOKYO -- Some Twitter accounts that report on the situation in Ukraine with videos and photos showing Russian military operations on the ground have been frozen, Nikkei has learned.

"Why are OSINT accounts being muted?" @COUPSURE, which studies open-source information, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. OSINT stands for "open source intelligence," and it is made up of a group of private-sector volunteers and other organizations that collect satellite imagery and other data.
