NEW DELHI -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Friday, carrying a similar message to the one he had brought to Russia earlier in the summer, when the Ukrainian leader had publicly criticized Modi for his embrace of President Vladimir Putin.

With the Russia-Ukraine war escalating, Modi arrived from Poland via special train. The Indian leader and Zelenskyy shook hands and hugged as they paid homage at the Martyrologist Exposition on children in the Ukrainian capital.
