Nissan to exit Russia, as Mitsubishi Motors also considering move

Japanese automaker will transfer its business to Russian government

TOKYO -- Nissan Motor is planning to withdraw from the Russian market, the company said on Tuesday, as its partner Mitsubishi Motors is also considering the same.

Nissan said it expected to transfer its operations, including its assembly plant in St. Petersburg, to a Russian government body.
